Biophilia
A hosted conversation about seeking out our connection with creation, or Biophilia, with siblings Laura and John Weber and guest hostess, Ellen Bruckner. This conversation features dramatically different world-views about the need for a biosphere, how we'd like to see change in the world, and how an organization like Environmental Soulutions might serve those with different world-views.

Environmental & Eco-Justice
with Daniel Lawse
Laura sits down with Daniel Lawse, Chief Century Thinker for the Verdis Group - for Climate Action That Counts (https://verdisgroup.com/) -
for a conversation about environmental justice, eco-justice, and eco-spirituality in a posthuman (post-anthropocentric) context. Together, they explore paths for environmental and eco-justice that call us into right relationship with all living beings for a healthy, regenerative biosphere.
Who Are the WE
We're Becoming? - Part 1
Laura unpacks a bit of the philosophical world-view of posthumanism, and how it is impacting the way we view environmental justice, ensuring equitable access to Earth's good and equitable protection from Earth's degradation for our human community. Environmental justice and racial justice are closely related, and both are constructed from challenges to an embedded notion of a "hierarchy of being." Posthumanism de-centers humanity from the drama of existence, posing additional challenges for environmental justice.

Who Are the WE
We're Becoming? - Part 2
Laura considers the topic of "Eco-Justice" in a posthuman context. As distinct from environmental justice (i.e., providing equitable access to Earth's goods and equitable protection from Earth's degradation for all humans), eco-justice expands our purview to our more-than-human kin. Posthumanism provides a reframing of the topic, and highlights profound challenges for deep ecologists who seek to learn the languages of the wider "We." In this posthuman era, and with the aid of AI, our arbor elders, wild-kin, and the land itself, humanity is learning who "We" are in this "Oikos," our common home.
Who Are the WE
We're Becoming? - Part 3
Exploring the topic of eco-spirituality in a posthuman context, Laura delineates a historical journey of the concept of "Spirituality" as "Breath/Life Force" from its antecedent biblical roots through medieval monastic iterations, evolving through the Enlightenment, modern, and postmodern eras, to the emerging posthuman context we find ourselves immersed in today. Those who find life's meaning in the wider "We" of creation - the whole "Oikos" (home) of which we are part - embrace eco-spirituality as a profound nexus of creation's evolution and our own soul.

Environmental & Eco-Justice
with Keith Knapp
Laura sits down with Dr. Keith Knapp, Evolutionary Thinker, Civil Engineer, Poet of Nature and the Universe, Runner, Mindfulness Practitioner, Biophiliac, Buddhist Lover of Life, and so much more... Their wide-ranging conversation is about environmental justice, eco-justice, and eco-spirituality in a posthuman context. Their exchange spans topics like the rights of nature, what constitutes environmental "justice" in a posthuman context, severed trees limbs and arboreal suffering, the inter-connection of all life, the dismantling of hierarchies of being, biomimicry, and the spiritual art of paying attention.
Decay, Hauntology, and Composting the Past
with Dr. Amy Nolan
Laura sits down with professor/author/artist and lover of the language of creation, Dr. Amy Nolan, to talk about a few of their favorite things - decay, hauntology, and eco-spirituality as composting/composing in the digital world. Their conversation explores topics related to grief and loss, analog objects that decay over time, digital permanence, the absence of promising futures, and composting the past. The connection between composting/composing what is decaying/dying with what is emerging is the stuff of original art, music, and poetry. It is when the potent present is energized with full-sensory awareness, creativity, and integration.

Life in Tune With Nature
Amy Kern of "Best Nest Farm"
Laura sits down with long-time friend and collaborator, Amy Kern, who along with husband Marcel Devetten are co-proprietors of "Best Nest Farm." Ensconced in an idyllic oasis on 50 acres in Southwest Iowa near Glenwood, Best Nest Farm is perfect "for those who enjoy outdoor activities as well as those seeking a peaceful retreat in the serenity of nature." Why would city folk go country? Sheer love of Nature! Amy and Laura revel in the antics - and hilarity- of alpaca, barn cats and duck denizens, the loyalty and diligence of guardian dogs Apollo and Scout, the majesty of the resident blue herons, the stunning beauty of the prairie flowers, trees, stars, birds, gentle breezes and flowing water at the Farm, as well as the profound sense of peace and refreshment that their glamping guests love as they reconnect with their soul. This is an immersive feast - Nature at its best!
